Previously, we had some Windows and Linux servers with direct-attached storage. Our server's farm increases faster than our server room. So, we thought about virtualizing our applications. We chose to use VMware ESXi and DataCore SANsymphony to create our new infrastructure and then began to deploy our infrastructure on one server room. Then in 2018, we chose to dispatch them for more security in two server rooms.

The software is easy to install, easy to manage and is stable. The company has been using this product for almost two decades now and have very few issues. Our downtime is almost zero for volumes served to our customers. The application is windows based and functions really well, very stable. I don't have to think about redundancy, having two systems built to mirror each other takes care of that. If one side is down, customers stay connected on the secondary active side.

“In September 2018 we went with DataCore as our vSAN software for our hardware refresh. We had our own DataCore rep come to the office and help with the install of the software. After the install was complete we tested the software on Dev systems and found that it was quite fast. After moving production systems to the storage we learned just how fast it is. Starting SAP HANA Databases used to take upwards of 20 minutes on our Fibre Channel SAN, now it takes less than 5 minutes. It has been very reliable for us and the only issue we had was a configuration error that I made that after contacting DataCore support we were able to fix and haven’t had any issues since then.”
