READING, UK – April 8, 2011 – DataCore Software, the industry’s premier provider of storage virtualization software, has reinforced its worldwide channel commitment by announcing the appointment of two new director positions for the EMEA; three new local channel positions in Northern Europe and the gaining of a significant US CRN channel award.
For EMEA, Iris Hatzenbichler-Durchschlag will lead and manage all marketing activities in the region. In addition, Joerg Schweinsberg will direct all distribution activities across Europe. With these promotions, DataCore Software has synchronized its organization for a steady growth in Europe, where the company expects a continued yearly growth of 30 to 40 percent.
Joerg Schweinsberg’s will lead and unite EMEA-wide distribution partner management with a focus on improving partner recruitment, training and development, as well as streamlining sales operations to enhance overall sales. Formerly, Joerg led distribution and partner management across Central Europe. He will also work with distribution to drive DataCore efforts to expand and develop a much larger footprint in the Nordics and Eastern European markets for DataCore’s storage virtualization software.
Iris Hatzenbichler-Durchschlag has been promoted to the new position of Director Marketing & Operations EMEA. Iris joined the DataCore marketing team in 2000 as Marketing Manager Central Europe and later her role expanded across all of Europe. She will work closely with Joerg Schweinsberg to coordinate DataCore’s growing marketing impact across EMEA and to align them closely with the channel activities and field marketing operations of the company. In addition, she is responsible for aligning marketing plans and efforts between DataCore’s corporate and EMEA marketing teams – an important position as the marketing team has more than doubled during the last two years. Iris holds a diploma in economics.
Locally in Northern Europe the channel account management team continues to expand. March saw two new starters, Steve Wilson, Account Manager, South of England and Garry Carpenter, Technical Account Manager. Steve joins DataCore from Ericom Software UK where he held the position of Strategic Account Manager for Four years. Garry joins from Cristie Data Solutions. In addition, this week Rupert Collier, Account Manager, North of England, joins us from COMPUTERLINKS where he held the position of Product Manager for over 5 years.
